IV.15 How many courses does a public prosecutor have to attend annually?
Up to now the Department of Education within the Prosecutor
General’s Office was in charge to improve the knowledge of prosecutors; that
Department arranged special short courses or seminars. The prosÂecutors were
obliged to attend them. The Regional prosecution Offices organized similar
courses as well. Those courses focused on the application problems in the field
of the criminal law, legal co-operation with foreign countries, supervision
over the legality of decision taken by the public administration bodies as well
as to the information about the new laws and amendments, European law etc.
Every prosecutor attended one or two two- or three-day courses per year.
