IV.3 What are his main tasks in administrative law?
The prosecutor executes
in the extent stipulated by the Public Prosecution Service Act the supervision
over the law observance and other generally binding regulations by the public
administration bodies, i.e. he examines the legality of
- generally binding regulations issued by the public administration bodies;
- guidelines, resolutions, measures and other legal acts issued in view to ensure the fulfillment of tasks within public administration;
- resolutions issued in different matters in the field of public administration;
- steps taken by the public administration bodies when issuing measures and resolutions.
In addition, the Prosecutor General may file a motion to theConstitutional Court
to commence a proceeding on accordance with law of the legal regulations – that
also represents a legal mean for supervising the observance of laws and other
generally binding regulations by the public administration bodies.
