I.26 In case of non-prosecution due to the expediency principle, who needs to give his consent?

Cases warranting the application of the expediency principle, (vide answer to question 7) lead to the issuing of a nolle prosequi by the Attorney General. The nolle prosequi is not a consent but rather a unilateral declaration by the Attorney General.
