IV.14 What courses form part of the continuing training?
The courses set by the professional legal bodies
include: practice and procedure as well as a range of substantive law courses
such as: property law, public law, criminal law, company law, law of torts etc.
There is no separate or additional provision for solicitors or barristers who
intend to seek a position as a public prosecutor. However, once appointed they
can avail of the training and education offered by or through the Training Unit
within the DPP’s office.
