III.15 Who appoints the public prosecutor?

Recruitment of Crown Prosecutors is devolved to local managers based in each CPS Area. The process is subject to the Civil Service Recruitment Code, overseen by a national recruitment team based in Liverpool. The recruitment process can take a number of stages including a panel interview.
