IV.10 Can a public prosecutor join a political party?
Yes. But the post of Crown Prosecutor is
politically restricted, i.e. prosecutors must apply if they want to be involved
in any political activity and each application is considered individually, but
they would not for example be allowed to stand as a candidate in an election.
