IV.3 What are his main tasks in administrative law?

The administrative tasks of the police cover almost the entire working day of the Chief Constable and a great deal of that of his Deputy, whereas the junior legal staff mainly work in field of the criminal law. As for the regional prosecutors, the handling of citizens’ complaints against the police are entrusted to them, regardless whether such complaints arise from a criminal case or only a chance encounter between the policeman and the complainant (sects. 1019-1019m AJA). Those cases, of which some result in the policeman being reprimanded, have increased much in later years.
