IV.1 Does the public prosecutor have tasks outside the field of criminal law?
Yes. The Attorney General and the Law Office of the
Republic are the legal advisers of the Republic on all matters. This is
expressly provided in the Constitution. The Law Office advises the President,
the Council of Ministers, the Ministries and the Public Service on all legal
matters which arise in the context of state activity. Furthermore, the Law
Office represents the Republic in any civil or administrative proceedings in
which the latter is a party.
