By way of conclusion, one could unhesitatingly state that, in the context of the criminal justice system of the Republic of Cyprus, the Attorney General is a completely independent institution entrusted with wide powers and authority. Evidently, this had been the unequivocal intention of the constitutional legislator who has thus set one of the most important foundations of a state based on the rule of law.
