I.19 What are the main diversionary measures?
The CCP provides four different measures of diversion which may not be combined with each other:
- payment of an amount of money (diversionary fine);
- community service;
- determination of a probationary period (one to two years) possibly combined with supervision of the probationer and/or the fulfilment of so-called obligations; and
- victim offender mediation (Aussergerichtlicher Tatausgleich/ATA, which actually means out of court conflict resolution).
