The Role of the Public Prosecutor in Relation to the Execution of Sanctions

Chapter IV
The Role of the Public Prosecutor in Relation to the Execution of Sanctions
In principle, the public prosecution service is not involved in the enforcement of sentences imposed by the court. There are, however, some decisions to be made by the court on which the public prosecutor is to be heard. Thus, the public prosecution service has to be asked for an official comment if for example the court decides on the suspension of commencement of a sentence, payment by instalments or conditional release (parole).

The public prosecution service does neither supervise compliance with the conditions in cases of suspended sentences nor supervise in pardon cases.
